Runners really do not like to refer to the info tag that goes on your shoe as a ‘toe tag’, but in my case that is exactly what it is.
The ‘toe tag’ has the runner’s medical and emergency contact information on it. I have never really seen one before, but it makes so much sense.
So basically, if I pass out in the middle of the race all my medications and my emergency contact information is right there on my shoe. Pretty nifty if you ask me!! I do believe I need to add the following on the back of my toe tag….. “I’m Catholic call a Priest”
Tonight Angela and I run a quick 3 miles (well not really quick). The wind was pretty brisk, but of course we warmed up in no time. I still have trouble dressing in the right layers. I ALWAYS over dress thinking I won’t be warm enough. I have to admit I am getting better, but I just wish it was spring already.
This Saturday Malone University has a 5k race that I am thinking of doing. My only hold back is it is only 3.1 miles. I NEVER thought I would say …. Oh it’s only 3.1 miles!!! We are now at the 5 or 6 mile point I almost feel like it will be a step back. Next Saturday there is a 5 mile Saint Patrick’s Day race in downtown Cleveland. I would much rather do that race because the distance is longer. I think I may try to recruit some other Team in Training members for the St. Patrick’s Day race. Come on… who can say no to a 5 mile run and green beer afterwards?????

The 5 mile race sounds interesting--got a link?
ReplyDeleteNever mind, I found it: http://www.hermescleveland.com/roadracing/Malachi/index.shtml
ReplyDeleteI am thinking about this race. I'll let you know at the group run on Saturday whether I'll enter or not. You should post to the Team in Training group about this!
