WOW... and THANK YOU

Such a wonderful fundraiser I am speechless!!!

We raised approx $2200 at our Scotch Doubles Bowling Fundraiser. There were so many people there and we had so many door prizes it was just amazing!!

I ended up leaving work Friday at 2pm to get some last minute running around done. I wanted to squeeze in a run before the scotch doubles, but that did not happen. By 5pm I was exhausted and the fundraiser hadn't even started yet!! So instead of running I laid down.... I knew it would be a late night ... and it was!!

I arrived at the bowling alley at 8pm to start setting up. I had a few people come early and help me which was really needed. We set up the basket table and we filled up the two tables that were set up for the baskets!!!

I do believe people starting coming in the door before 8:30, and by that point I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. We were a little delayed getting started because the leagues went over time wise just a little. Then before I knew it the night was started.

The majority of my time was spent on the house mic, but i enjoyed it. I have been told by multiple people I have a new career in my horizon. Can you imagine that ... DJ Jazzy Jewett!!

My friends Shannon and Dave won the first 50/50 drawling. My mother was determined to win the corn hole set which was in the basket raffles. She was so excited so won it!!!

Before I knew it the night was at a end. I left the bowling alley maybe around 1230 I really don't remember. I did know I was exhausted but was still wide awake.

When I woke up the next morning my body literlly ached. I am use to sitting at a desk all day I think the running around on that hard bowling alley floor just killed me. My left knee crippled in pain the next morning. I don't remember hitting my knee on anything or doing anything out of the ordinary. Maybe it is just a way of my body reminding me I have my 30th birthday next month!!

I decided to take Saturday easy since my knee ached most of the day. I had to .... I have my first 8 mile run scheduled for Sunday morning.

Now I just hope I make it through Sunday morning.
